Blindfold And Alone Book Cover Blindfold And Alone (Cassell Military Paperbacks)

Synopsis

In the annals of World War II, the story of Ronald Searle stands out as a testament to the indomitable human spirit. As a young artist and soldier, Searle was captured by the Japanese in 1942 and held prisoner for three and a half years. During that time, he endured unimaginable hardships, including starvation, torture, and the constant threat of death.

In this gripping and unforgettable memoir, Searle recounts his harrowing experiences with unflinching honesty. He describes the horrors of the prison camps, the camaraderie among his fellow prisoners, and the indomitable spirit that kept him going even when all hope seemed lost.
